Car Video Player
Privacy Policy
In short: Car Video Player does not collect, store or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no developer servers. Everything you add to the app stays on your device.
1. Who we are
Car Video Player is developed and published by Car Video Player (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@carvideoplayer.com.
2. Data we collect
None. We do not collect, receive or process any information about you or your device. The app does not require an account, does not contain analytics or crash-reporting libraries, does not show advertising and does not use advertising or tracking identifiers.
3. Data stored on your device
To work, the app keeps the following information only on your iPhone, inside the app’s private storage. It is never sent to us.

You can delete any of this at any time: remove playlists and videos inside the app, or delete the app, which removes all of its data.
4. Network connections
The app only connects to:
- Servers you add yourself — the playlist, stream and channel-logo addresses contained in your playlists. These servers are operated by third parties, not by us. Like any internet connection, they can see your IP address and the streams you request; their own privacy policies apply. We do not choose, provide or endorse any content or server.
- Apple — for In-App Purchases (StoreKit), AirPlay and CarPlay. These are governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
There are no developer servers. The app never contacts us.
5. Screen mirroring (“Cast to Car”)
When you start screen mirroring, iOS’s ReplayKit framework passes your screen content to the Car Video Player extension. The extension encodes it into short video segments that are stored temporarily in the app’s private container and delivered only within your device (over the local loopback address 127.0.0.1) to the Car Video Player app, which then shows them on the car display through the standard AirPlay/CarPlay video connection. The screen content is never uploaded anywhere, is not recorded permanently, and the temporary segments are deleted when the session ends or a new one starts.
6. Photos and Files access
The app only accesses the videos you explicitly pick in the Photos picker or the Files browser, and copies those files into its own folder. It does not scan or read your photo library or other files.
7. In-App Purchase
“Car Video Player Pro” is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, name or Apple ID. Purchases can be restored on any device signed in with the same Apple ID.
8. Location
The app does not request or use your location.
9. Children
Car Video Player is not directed at children under 13 and, as described above, collects no personal information from anyone.
10. Content and safety
Car Video Player is a player. It does not provide, host or index any content. You are responsible for adding only playlists and files you have the right to use. Video features are intended for passengers and for parked vehicles only; never watch video while driving.
11. Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the effective date above, and describe the change in the app’s release notes.
